Gui Boratto's "Abaporu" now available

Returning to the full-length format after a couple of years well spent in the 12" singles circuit, Brazilian groove architect Gui Boratto follows up his 2011 offering "III" with new album "Abaporu" - an exotic and colorful journey into sound, spread over 13 richly orchestrated club tracks that display the same penchant for ridiculously catchy melodies and infectious rhythms that already informed his revered 2007 album debut "Chromophobia". The new full-length arrives in the wake of Gui's fantastic summer singles "Take Control" and "Too Late", both priming the audience for the expertly tailored vocals and finely tuned guitar interludes that permeate "Abaporu". First album reviews are raving, and the producer also sat down for some pretty insightful interviews - read them at Deep House Amsterdam and DJBroadcast. A nice bonus comes with Nothing But Hope And Passion's video playlist for Gui, including commentary by the artist himself. One of the Brazilian mastermind's most satisfying full-length efforts to date, "Abaporu" finds him at the top of his game, rewiring the electronic circuits that connect European and US dance music to his own - and our - liking - now available on 2xLP+CD and CD.
