Pure reason may never win. Good tradition may never die. After one year of jubilation thanks to the KOMPAKT 100 remix orgy, now, for the 7th birthday of Cologne´s beloved label, it´s time for the TOTAL 6 work exhibition. As usual, a colourful double vinyl with exclusively new tracks of the KOMPAKT family as well as a digital version, which includes the highlights of the last twelve months packaged in a new double CD format with the slender price of a single CD. Why? The KOMPAKT family has gotten far too big and productive for only 70 minutes of entertainment. This round...beside the kind hosts we need never tire of; Voigt, Mayer, Paape and Burger, there are all the new discoveries. Many for the first time, on CD. We present the vanquishers of the last season; Rex The Dog, The MFA, Dirk Leyers, The Field, and Dorau/Köhncke plus fine previews of our forthcoming releases. For example, the typically incorrupt DJ Koze whose debut album "Kosi Comes Around" shall be released on KOMPAKT in September. Then you will find Matias Aguayo (ex-Closer Musik) together with his new sparing partner Marcus Rossknecht. Their album (released in October 2005) will put on a coronet on KOMPAKT´s old favourite genre, "populist minimal techno with glam goo". -TOTAL 6! KOMPAKT thanks their fans for faithfulness and trust.
