In Response To The SONY DADC / PIAS Warehouse Fire

As many of you are already aware, due to the riots in London a fire destroyed the SONY DADC warehouse which was also housed the distributor PIAS and countless independent labels inventory. Many of our favorite labels out there including Warp, Domino, XL, Ninja Tune, Rekids...the list goes on. https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/14460204 We have received many concerned emails and calls over the past day as a number of websites have reported that our stock was destroyed in the fire. This is incorrect. Many of you may not realize that Kompakt distributes over 100 different labels worldwide. We worked with PIAS in the UK until about 18 months ago with a number of these labels. We have stock from a number of our exclusive labels still with PIAS that we can assume was lost in this horrendous fire. Compared to what so many labels are going through at this time, its a minor setback. Our sympathy and support goes out to PIAS and all the wonderful labels that are so direly affected by this unnecessary act. Kompakt
