Split Secs

Split Secs are Travis Kirschbaum aka TK Disko and Alexandre Mouracade aka Sonns.

SF transplant and LA local Travis "T.K." Disko cut his teeth as a mainstay in the San Francisco music scene. An early member of DJ / artist collective 40 Thieves (Smash Hit Music/Rong/Permanent Vacation), resident DJ at LA's now infamous Hot Biscuit parties and SF's Gun Club and Liquid in the mid 90's, he brings a deep knowledge and respect for music to his gigs.

Mouracade's roots reach as far back as the Southern California punk scene that gave rise to an equally as rich underground club world in the 90s. As a record selector, he's shared space with talent reaching as far back as his days holding a residency with his eclectic opening & closing sets for the World Famous Beat Junkies and more recently traversing the techno, house, disco and left-field landscapes with Mark E, Simian Mobile Disco, Ivan Smagghe and Eddie C.

In 2012, Split Secs landed on various charts and track listings when the duo’s first EP “I’m Not Losin’” (Jolly Jams) earned heavy rotation worldwide. Previous and forthcoming releases include the record labels Jolly Jams, Merc, Clouded Vision, Throne of Blood, B Pitch Control, New Jersey, Sanfuentes, Pacific Wizard Foundation, Smash Hit, On The Prowl, Future Classic, Kompakt / Speicher, as well as Alex & TK's own imprint, Machine Limited.
