(en) Justin Maxwell, Palette artist and pupil of John Tejada, who has already delivered a brilliant Remix for Dominik Eulberg´s "Flora & Fauna" LP on Traum, celebrates with his new project DSP Speedwagon his debut on Trapez. He developed the project together with chief scientist Cynthia Bruyns. It combines the abilities of the schizoid Maxwell "digitizing the indigestion of one thousand angels, their stomachs simultaneously rumbling with gastro-oscillator sub bass" together with Bruyns academic research in physically-modeled synthesis. The outcome is a perfect symbiosis. You can fell this the strongest with "What Happened" a track which starts off extremely dry and minimal and then steals away in a different direction with slightly hysteric samples which successfully embrace rock influences. On the other hand "Thunderthighs" and "Polishing the Oscar" are bulky and crazy, without compromise and so are a perfect partner for a DJ with a bias to risk.

Das Projekt welches er zusammen mit der Akademikerin Cynthia Bruyns entwickelt hat, vereint die Fähigkeiten des schizoiden Maxwell "hundert Engel die alle gleichzeitig in seinem Magen verdauen und so Sub-Bässe erzeugen" mit den Ergebnissen von Bruyns wissenschaftlicher Recherche (physically-modeled synthesis). Wodurch sich eine perfekte Symbiose ergibt. Zumindest kann man dies von "What Happened", sagen, ein Stück welches extrem trocken und minimal beginnt und sich mit leicht hysterischen Samples in eine andere Richtung wegschleicht, die erfolgreich Rock Einflüsse mit einbezieht. "Thunderthighs" und "Polishing the Oscar" sind dagegen sperrig und verrückt, gehen keine Kompromisse ein und dürften für den DJ mit Hang zum Risiko perfekte Partner sein.
