The song titles already tell where their first full Bad Cop Bad Cop maxi *"Top of the Cops"* will take you: "I Am The Beat", "Hotpants", "Shivers Down Your Spine", and "Monkey-Time". Between House and Techno, between oldschool and modern, between band and computer everything is allowed, as long as it comes from the heart (and at times makes for a laugh). By the way, Bad Cop Bad Cop are just as good when they play live. That this maxi surfaces on the well-known Platzhirsch-sublabel "Kahlwild" may surprise at first, but as the label is revived with a change in sound and design, we may expect to marvel at more such astonishing and varied releases in the near future.

Zwischen Techno und House, zwischen traditionell und modern, zwischen Band und Computer ist alles erlaubt, hauptsache es kommt von Herzen (und mitunter auch Zwerchfell). Live geht es bei Bad Cop Bad Cop übrigens genauso ab. Dass die Platte auf dem bekannten Platzhirsch-Sublabel "Kahlwild" erscheint, mag zunächst verwundern. Da dieses aber mit neuer musikalischer Ausrichtung und in neuem Design wiederbelebt wird, wird es in naher Zukunft wieder öfters solche überraschenden und abwechslungsreichen Veröffentlichungen zu bestaunen geben.
