The Standing Man Ep

Ian Simmonds // Musik Krause
Format // 12"
He has done it again. The at the moment choice 'Jenenser' has by simply enriching a number of elements brought everybody into ecstasyMr. Simmonds has fundamentally savour different classic music styles. Only instead of ever spitting it out, he prepares and processes to become fine ingredients to his own recipes. His 4 new tracks realize in each rhythm and each note a composure, which few sound arrangements are able to present. This goes beyond pure club music, because the enormous musicality is set up by means of pure club 'tool' understanding, thereby enriching a set of tasteful disks while ever mindful of variety. Magic moments for those in attendance are a given. At home lounging on the sofa, there won't be a long time spent in quiet reflection, but rather active expression. In another related reference, Ian has published music with some live-musicians under the name 'Wise in Time', a wonderfully deep album speckled with his vocals named "The Ballad of Den the Men" on the renowned Crammed Discs label. A1 Cry Dub Deep jazz sets bring so much warmth into the club, thus seemingly static courses of motion end as pure soft exhalations of dance. Then at the entrance of the clodhopper in addition to supple inserts, this manages to add a tickle to the sound. Everything is added in a co-operated fashion, so that a true drum roll of feelings develops. A2 Rubix Decelerated clapping/nodding/percussion house of which Funkiness calls in due to its effectiveness is in itself frightening already. With a bastion of organic melodic sequences, a magical dream to a true film is presented. B1 Sevenseas Electrically dragged intro-rhythm is altered into a downbeat/grunt/clap house track which in its balance is vaguely skipping, slow motion helter-skelter, down the sidewalk. Voices call out somehow speaking: "You cannot fall"! Why? Because the music has got your back. B2 The raven A seemingly dark epos, which is yet able to give hope a new chance with a flare of longing sounds. Hope doesn't even die last, because at the end of the valley a light shines always. Making the way there that much darker.
