After more than 18 months of composition and recording, Brooklyn-based & outer-spaced musical duo Chairlift return with a new album called 'Something', their dense and deftly-driven sophomore episode. 'Something' is out January 23rd in the UK on Young Turks and January 24th on Columbia Records for the rest of the world. The album is the follow up to their 2008 Kanine Records debut 'Does You Inspire You'. Composed in the back room of a rented New York antiques store, it was recorded at the London studio of its producer Dan Carey (The Kills, Hot Chip, La Roux). 'Something' comprises eleven tracks, including the recently premiered 'Sidewalk Safari' and 'Amanaemonesia', which was released on 7-inch in the US only on Chris Taylor's (Grizzly Bear) label Terrible Records in August. Chairlift are Caroline Polachek and Patrick Wimberly. In between Chairlifting, Caroline recently collaborated with Washed Out on the song 'You and I', and Patrick produced NYC rap duo Das Racist's album 'Relax'.
