She Forgot Her Banner
Dusty Cabinets // Kickboxer
Here they are again, these little wonders that happen out of the blue and put a big smile all on our faces. At the moment, London is always and everywhere: Dubsteb is chic, Afro is chic, and Goldie is back with a new record after the almost forgotten quarrel he had with the Gallagher brothers. London's calling! And we smack in the middle of the goings-on proudly present Dusty Cabinets from London. They/he/she (actually, we have no idea who's hiding behind Dusty Cabinets and frankly, we do not really care yet) is already known for the stunning dancefloor remixes DC did for Nathan Fake, Archie Bronson Outfit (Domino) or James Yorkston. All tracks are speaking their own language and are as incredibly international as a jet-setting professional from London, travelling with umbrella, charm and a bowler. From a smart & stylish 30-pounder hymn in best Playhouse style to a sunrise tribal on the Seychelles, Dusty Cabinets is moving along various longitudes and latitudes and is always well-set in the stylish club culture. Dusty Cabinets tracks can be found in the front row of Agoria's, Michael Mayer's and Laurent Garnier's record cases (and hard-disks, too). So, globally, this means: "London's calling to the faraway towns Now war is declared - and battle comes down…" (The Clash).
