(en) This record holds remixes of two Cosmic Sandwich tracks. The synth melody based track "Scatter Realm" (MBF 12026) received a special treatment by Bukaddor & Fishbeck and the remix from the Silent Jeffs of the unreleased, classic track "Marble" speaks the language of a "blend of styles". The Cologne artist Baggy Bukaddor has been around for 10 years producing tracks like the World Clique's "Don't do it", "Elephant Girl" and "Cowboy Song" under his own name and also for other artist. DJ Tim Fishbeck got to know Baggy Bukaddor when he remixed his track "VIP" during a remix contest. The duo has just released their first record on MBF "Less" (MBF 12028), which received great reactions worldwide. Their "Scatter Realm" remix is a fantastic, hypnotic hymn in a Carl Craig style with a string running almost through the whole track creating a slight wild pitch feeling. On the flipside we find the first track by the new Band "The Silent Jeffs" consisting of Tom Hopkins from London and the Hot Chips Felix Martin and Al Doyle. Felix Martin writes the beats & rhythms for Hot Chip, whereas Al Doyle plays the guitar for Hot Chip and DFA. The three have united their love for electronic music. They remixed the unreleased "Marble" track which will be part of Cosmic Sandwich´s upcoming album. Their remix seemingly incorporates influences of various genres, taps on new wave, electronica and techno. It works with very nice build ups in dynamic, taking it from rocking peak time passages to cool break downs. Multi-Layered with effects and driven by sequences, drowning sounds, dubbed out spaces and uplifting cool moments, their first appearance is a stunning one. Expect to hear more of them on MBF.
