(en) The debut record on Trapez by Alex Tsiridis, who had released a great tech-house record on the German label Gumption before, is in the true sense of the word a techno rocker. The record features two new 100% techno tracks. The a-side "Rubber Suit" is a panic stricken claustrophobic piece of techno. Forceful and with an heavy bassline that runs through the track creating havoc... nervous energy at its best. "Suasion" on the flipside is a cool rhythm track much more at ease and closer to Tsiridis early works than the a-side. "Suasion" is a Chicago groover with an affinity to Mike Dunn _s "Magic Feet" and his colleagues of his time but comes in a modern sound design. A cool track with lots of understatement plus nice moments of "loosing control".

(de) Die Debütplatte auf Trapez von Alex Tsiridis, der zuvor auf Gumption eine geniale Tech- House Platte veröffentlicht hat, ist im wahrsten Sinne ein Techno Brett. Besonders die A-Seite "Rubber Suit" spricht eine eindeutige Sprache von Klaustrophobie, einem Stresspotential das nicht entweichen kann. In Zentrum stehen eine unglaublich mächtige Bassline und eine sirenenartige Sequenzen die dies begeleiten. Ganz im Kontrast dazu ist die Rückseite "Suasion" die mehr im Chicago Stil produziert ist und stärker mit Understatement arbeitet, dabei aber mit völlig neuem Sounddesign und kleinen Details an den Start geht. Der Track ähnelt dadurch Tsiridis früheren Techno-House Stücken.
