Pop Ambient 2007

Here we are again. One of the most celebrated compilations of electronic cuddle-music returns for the seventh round. POP AMBIENT as a term and sound-philosophy has evolved as a solid sized contender in the ambient world. Beside our renowned and indispensable protagonists of this "movement" (think Markus Guentner, Ulf Lohmann, Klimek and Triola), there are some new names amongst this years challengers. Take The Field - Sweden's inside tip for the tastemaker Techno community. Perhaps a tremendous glimpse into his anxiously awaited KOMPAKT debut album set to arrive in spring 2007? Or Marsen Jules, who you should know from his beautiful releases on the Berlin label City Center Offices. Also rejoice as Wolfgang Voigt´s cult-project GAS returns to the ring with a rarely heard (and extraordinary) blast from the past. There is also Andrew Thomas, whom with his album "Gaps In The Sun" Celebrates a new album on the new KOMPAKT MP3 label KOMP3.
