The new Zombie Nation Album "Black Toys" is out since nov. 2006 with great success. Highly acclaimed by press and considered "the best Zombie Album ever" by the Zombie-fans. "Peace & Greed" is one of the album highlights and it´s featured on the present UKW release. "…using the filters at "Peace & Greed" very artful and chiefly like Daft Punk would have never existed. Splank took a more relaxed way out and went for a remix exchange with Headman (check out Relish Recordings # 018 - "On And On - Zombie Nation Remix"). He also picked labelmate Yuksek, whom he watched playing an exciting liveshow in Paris in december. A1: Peace & Greed [Yuksek Remix] Yuksek, namely Mr. Pierre Alexandre Busson, is one of the front runners of the new wave of french electro. His trademark is a mix of techno, hip hop and pop blended with a hint of french filtersound. Sliced rythms and dry grooves are dominating this awesome remix, creating a raw and dirty soundscape like second to none. B1: Peace & Greed [Headman Remix] Robie Insinna aka Headman faces the remix-challenge in a rather straight way, keeping the rocker attitude alive. The Swiss switch doctor, known for his output on Gomma, has recently launched his own label Relish Recordings and has been busy remixing Franz Ferdinand, Royksopp, Scissor Sisters and The Rapture just to name a few. Adding his percussive arguments and vocal elements to the more minimalistic sound of the original, he manages to mix his very own flavour into this song. Conclusion: Done, well done! A must have for fans of Ed Banger, DFA and DC Recordings … and all others too, yeah.
