Musik Bringt Freundschaft

We welcome two domestic young talents from the Rhein delta Jürgen Potzkoten & Nicolas Stefan. Nicolas lives in Solingen, the city in Germany which has been famous for the production of knifes and blades for more than hundred years. His attitude of building up his own Techno house community in this city instead of going the easy way by moving to Berlin shows great courage and character. Since 5 years he has been Djing now, starting as a member of the electro house formation Turbo and Berger as DJ Nyke, with which he toured Switzerland, Austria and other European countries. He quit in 2004 to follow his own ideas, he changes his DJ name to Nicolas Stefan and started his night called "Minimolix". The night has been so successful that they have started to tour bigger clubs in Düsseldorf, Essen and Cologne regularly. Nicolas Stefan has meanwhile released two 12"s one on Karate Music and another 12" this year on Moguai _s label Polo records. His debut on MBF which he partly produced with Jürgen Potzkoten is definitely another serious step towards club culture. The a side track "Musik Bringt Freundschaft" meaning "Music Brings Friendship" is a joyful and emotional minimal house mover with cool breakdowns and melodic sequences. The track has a cool way of being clubby without putting a stranglehold on the clubber or dictating moves. The track is very airy and follows a nice collective spirit with melodies running up and down and plenty of breaks to collect energy to rave. "Man Alive! on the flipside is more classic and definitely a more tight minimal house track. It has some reminiscences to Steve Bugs "Loverboy" but incorporates also the melodic cool laidback feeling Nicolas Stefan is known for.
