Schleck & Stecker // Musik Krause
Format // 12"
This release is a veritable jubilee! 20 Candles stand on the cake, from one of Jena's finest confectioners of electronic embellishment, and placed in the window. The pastries and fresh goods from this master baker: a dynamic project which for a few years as a live-electro concept was taken as almost a nuisance in the local region. Manifested as a kind of 3-layered confection, what seems to be that typical Th¸ringian vinyl flavour. Frankly where Musikkrause also happens to be, in their fifth year of being: lively dance-electronic - close to the groove & outside of all too trampled paths is the edge that gets sharpened here. It hangs out a little bit, the ingredients aimed for just the right sensors, within its limits while maintaining a fresh - not piped in - musicality. Schleck and Stecker sound like analogue shepherds with dirty fingernails, providing the needed feed of used motor oil and gummy bears to feed their gadgetry. The outcome is a masculine kick-butt strange, musky techno. A thick pamphlet certifying the goods, minus the senseless self-edifying titles and whose origins stem seemingly from a finely aromatic barn, account for every fidgeting movement. Here you will find gruff farmers hard at work, who nonetheless were retrained as bakers. Where in former times there was straw and crap, today there is flour and chocolate and as garnish a little glitch-dub, kobold vocals, kraut-rock house and UFO melodies. Whoever tries to blow out the 20 candles on this cake, is gonna need quite a strong breath, Schleck and Stecker are bringing are taking everybody's, whether as a live-act or just the same when in polyvinyl-acetate form! frau aus matsche Caution, not for the faint of heart! Mind-blowing house with over modulated frequencies for the nightly sweat outbreak in the really muggy joints out there! henry vollmer This is definitely not your customary Prada-minimal and Gucci-techno that has a strangle-hold on the cool capitals of today! New, from old buckles - fresh max funk hits right on the nostalgia melody. This is where a fuzzy sound gets back to some soul and meaning. lazy gˆrl A love so shamelessly rushed to the fore, unforeseen and unmistakeable. Feathery, happy-industrial-jazz-dub-techno for which lactic-acid emanates from every fibre of the muscles! When this is on, everybody take it off is the message ÖYO! Best Regards Oliver Goldt
