After five artist EPs it is high time for a new edition of the "mod.coop" series on Milnormodern. And again, version four sees the meeting of familiar faces and new guns: On side A we have Mathias Kaden of Vakant and Freude am Tanzen fame delivering his most housy work to date, fusing his driving minimal style with heavy jazz samples. Accompanying him is Montreal's well-known Mossa, dropping in with his typical bouncing rhythms. The flipside starts out very jazzy as well: Patrone is a new project of Metaboman, one half of the infamous Krause Duo. Nice warm sounds and wonderful saxophone. Last but not least there is Dubnoodles who has already been part of the "mod.coop.02" - once more he fuses complex rhythms with a deep melancholic atmosphere in a unique way. Four pieces of excellent contemporary music - taking minimal beyond.
