(en) This is the second collaboration between these two artists on Traum. Their Harzer Roller 12" was the result of a trip to the Germanys mountain range, the Harz. The story behind this release is based on Dominik Eulberg _s visits to his friend Gabriel Ananda. The weekly visits have become somewhat of a ritual meeting at Gabriel _s factory for some cherry flavoured Danish pastry & jasmine tea. Both top exports of German techno internationally, touring heavily around the globe, these two musicians have always been different to many others seeking the urban live with all it _s extremes... these two draw their strength from the domestic and private set up. To forget about everything that seems to be important and just to communicate with each other was their idea. What sounds harmless ends up being a real rave bomb. The a-side track "NGC 101" refers with it _s title to one of the several hobbies of both of them: visiting planetariums and observing stars. "NGC 101" is a 10 minute freaked out but at the same time super cool and controlled funky piece of techno. In the centre stands a bassline that is continually twisted and the motor of the track. The track is altogether a real bass monster, which relies totally on a reduced, stripped down beat, that can run forever. Cool breaks collect the energy, to directly spit it out again. This track will be a perfect soundtrack for the _sunglasses _ at night. "Supernova" on the flipside is for us a perfect _sunset _ track. Working in a similar fashion as the a-side, this track sneaks in a lovely chord that makes it _s way through layers of bass and knob twisted extravaganza, that will warm up the heart of every clubber. The cheeky breaks with noises piling up to the sky and then being pulled away... it is one of Dominik Eulberg _s tracks he uses in his DJ sets when he builds up noise cascades with two records, a CD player and a mini sampler. (de) Die Idee hinter der Kooperation von Gabriel Ananda & Dominik Eulberg auf ihrer zweiten gemeinsamen Veröffentlichung auf Traum nach "Harzer Roller", ist jene sich zu treffen und mit Kirschplunder & Jasmin Tee sich dem Tag auf eine ungewöhnlich lässige Art zu nähern. Das erste Treffen (davon berichtet diese Platte) findet bei Gabriel Ananda statt, das zweite wird bei Dominik Eulberg sein. Ja, ganz abseits aller Plug In Diskussionen und Expertisen, dem DJ Wahnsinn und MySpace Fantum die ein Kosmos für sich sind, beschäftigt man sich hier lieber mit einem anderem Kosmos und das ist der Private, meint auch, hier geht es mehr um eine natürliche Annäherung and das Thema: "Musik zwischen Freunden". Keine Auftragsarbeit, keine Alltagssorgen... alles raus aus dem System und reingestürzt in die Musik und engagierte Diskussionen über das Weltall und das Sein. Herausgekommen sind zwei coole Rhythmusstücke mit astronomischem Hintergrund die für sich alleine stehen. "NGC 101" auf der A-Seite ist eine Stücke dessen Motor eine super funkige Bassline ist, die sich dauern verdreht und auf dem alles andere reitet. Direkt ist es klar, hier kommt alles aus dem Bauch und das sind nicht zu verachtende 30 Jahre Techno Erfahrung! Den Spaß an der Sache merkt man den beiden förmlich an, man könnte das Drehen der Knöpfe hören wäre da nicht... nein das ist zu viel der Liebe, es geht hier um Musik und die sprudelt aus den beiden und muss nur noch aufgefangen werden. Auf der Rückseite folgt dann die Zugabe "Supernova". Irgendwie aber vielmehr ein Sonnenaufgang wenn man das in Technosprache übersetzt, denn wenn sich die Chords einschleichen bleibt es bei den `Sunglasses at Night Menschen` nicht mehr beim Popo Wackeln, man erinnert sich an seine Hände und die folgen dann mit einer Zeitverzögerung einer Hundertstelsekunde um dann in die Höhe zu schnellen. Ja, das ist vielleicht einer der größten Soundtracks des Jahres!
