"ITS Caracas" (Paradigma 014) returns to Paradigma Musik in a form of three remixes, moulding a delightful 12-incher for Paradigma's 18th release. Paul Ritch covers the A-side with a faster paced house version encompassed in a rich background of high intensity and psychedelic notions. His admirable use of loops and tools transforms the track into an attractive DJ-compatible dance floor hit. Ritch, whose musical success took an upward hike in the last two years, released on the likes of Get Physical Music (Fortuna, June), Fumakilla (Back to the Time), Paradigma Musik (Higher) and MiniSketch (Nordbahnhof). In 2007, his tracks were also inclu- ded in nine internationally prominent Mix Albums such as John Digweed's Transitions, Vol. 3, Gui Boratto's Addicted, Vol. 2, Global Underground: Rio from Layo & Bushwacka! and M.A.N.D.Y.'s Ibiza '07. His attention to detail is carefully characterized in his producing and remix work. The two part, B-sider is shared by Madrid based producers Prompt and Henry Saiz. Prompt, whose "Evolve" recently won "Best Minimal Song" for the 2009 Beatport Awards, is no stran- ger to the nomination board. His exemplary work scored him further Beatport nominations as well as three nominations for DeejayMags '08, inevitably crowning him with the title of "Artist with Most Downloads." His productions have been licensed by important complications for labels such as Soma Records, Universal, Yoshitoshi Recordings, Get Physical (Mathew Dear), CR2 recordings, Balance Series, and the list goes on. His remix of "ITS Caracas" encapsulates his love for minimal psychedelic beats without taking too much out of the track. Prompt spoils his listeners with a relaxing yet slightly trippy experience in this remix. An occasional spur of deep, atmospheric background immensity, slightly lifts one's skin from the bones. Prompt never ceases to bewilder his audience. Wrapping up the three-pack, is long time Paradigma friend, Henry Saiz. His concrete productions and bedazzling live sets make Saiz one of the fastest rising artists in the scene. Successful artists like John Digweed and Phonique have also let the mind and hands of Saiz transform their tracks into remix masterpieces. Saiz's remix formula is far from simple as this producer fuses complex and emotive, electronic club music which brings together melody, intensity and depth, using progressive trance-like structures and adding an elaborated rhythmic bass with traces of funk and acid. Saiz's version of "ITS Caracas" distinctively guides the listener through each unique element of his signature remix formula, leaving the listener pleasantly lost in seven minutes of sheer techno heaven.
