ITALIC would like to announce two fantastic great new super-funky minimal discofied electronic dance remixes for HAMILTON - the original version is taken from ANTONELLI's new SOULKILLER album. The remix on side A refers to U.S. House Music from the 80s and funk music from New York-based New Wave bands such as Liquid Liquid or ESG. ANTONELLI's new remix version combines these two music styles and turns them into funky, dirty sounds which are irresistibly danceable, highly imaginative, and tremendously emotional. And the remix on the flipside comes from SECONDO - producer and founder of minimal house label Dreck Records. SECONDO's discofied cut-up funky electronic dance music has been appearing sporadically on Soul Jazz Records since 2003 and has been releasing music on his own Dreck Records since 2000. Departing from existing popular songs of various origins, SECONDO cuts his source material carefully into minute fragments in order to compose entirely new pieces of music somehow maintainig the atmosphere of the original, but shifting away from it structurally and rhythmically far beyond the boundaries of editing.
