Two in a row for dOP and MMR: Following their "No Passport EP" (MMR 015) the lovely three Frenchmen throw in "God bless the child". Starting out with "Foly" - a heavy fusion of African chants and percussion with flowing jazz grooves. Jaaaazzzzzz, baby! Well well, who else could remix such a track other than Jena city hero Robag Wruhme? Yeah, absolutely - no prisoners to be taken on this one. Robag keeps the deepness of the original, straightens the groove a bit and adds some juice in the bass frequencies. Flip around and we find it softly flowing again: Easy sax lines combined with engrossed vocals keep it movin' for "Cum with me". "Zero zero" then substitutes sax by piano and once more dOP impress us with their soulful funkiness the makes them so unique. God bless France!
