Crunchy beats and bouncy basses – no doubt, this is electronic dance music. But the extensive way in which classical instruments are deployed on Acker number 23 can't be described as a simple sampling play any more. Rather a fiery mixture of rhythmic electronic thrust and the thrilling atmosphere of handmade music is created. "Solo Para Mi" is based on a functional yet driving groove on which a wind player arrangement unfolds, progressively escalating to ever new atmospheric peaks. Mollono.Bass takes up the summery-warm tone colours of the original in his remix but keeps it a little more dreamy and subliminal. "Bulgarian Chicks" is stronger orientated towards the electronic elements but still also here there are instrumental and vocal entries which lend to this title a very unconventional gipsy style. Finally another remix on "Solo Para Mi" by Eule:nhaupt and Molle:nhauer puts emphasis on the song-orientated components of the original, taking its hybrid character even further.
