Black Art Orchestra // Trapez Ltd
Format // 12"
Behind the pseudonym "Black Art Orchestra" we discovered the world famous Hakan Libdo and his colleague Johan Fotmeijer. Together they have created the most radical record ever released on Trapez ltd. The record contains two tracks that are stripped down so rigorous and on the other side hold so much substance in bass line and drums that they bring great happiness to the dance floor. Both tracks continue the tradition of early Sähkö records but build on a stronger production. The composition creates a seemingly monotone world, which builds up excitement through small sounds and elements evolving slowly out of the wonderful heavy bass tracks. The a side track "Minimize the Risk" has lead to standing ovation of Alex Under and virtually everyone at the Trapez party during the c/o pop festival in Cologne in August. It was hailed as "the best track of the night"! The b side track "How it works" is the little brother of this monster a-side. It rides the bass like a wave with little changes making sounds come together to join in the bass kitchen.
