It's a miracle that somehow René Breitbarth found the time to produce a 12" for Treibstoff, as his brandnew label Deep Data keeps him quite occupied. It's a wonder too, that the man also delivered his probably best work to date: "Baseline" takes a deep breath, stays concile all the same, and spills nothing but pure groove. It's one hell of a ride, a stomping and rattling rollercoaster, walloping all those world music samples at one go. They're not needed anyway, as this track knows its way. Flanked by the schizoid anthem "Criminal" and the tumble dryer called "Jingling" this piece of music takes on the floor frontally, locking its jaws in the listeners internal legs and telling you all those nice stories about this one great party you haven't been to. So better step up your game, we say!
