Sandiego aka Diego Montinaro stems from Milan and is famous in Europe for his Studio engineering and production of well known Italian Hip Hop bands. He started recording techno two years ago and has so far released only one record on the Italian label "Soundplant". The "Express From The Basement" EP was very successful. His debut record on Trapez consists of two tracks; "Axum" and "Rogoredo". The a side track "Axum" is a strong mighty, rhythmically shifting "clonk" track, continually undergoing small changes, which fuel the track with ideas. The flipside track fuses post Detroit influences in the style of SLG with a Mediterranean Italo touch, super cool and floating. The strong funky track has a nice psychedelic touch in the breaks which adds a warped quality to the strong production Sandiego is famous for.
