At The Deep End

The Cake // num
Format // 12"
The Cake? Well, whoever is behind this twelve inch, the guy managed to bring Num Records with one of its deepest release to date! Ahhh, Lee just told it to me, there's no secrets this time; it is indeed a joined venture from Pan-Pot and the ever groovy Sweet'n'Candy… Well an advised release sheet guy is by far better then a left behind lonesome cowboy… That said, I now understand way better why the sound I'm hearing is so groovy and well, let's get back to that round black thing! The A Side, "At The Deep End" is wonderfully tinted with superb dub influenced patterns and sonic elements, sparkling with distorted and pitched vocals, cleverly deep (it is back for sure!). the A side will deliver it's full potential in cozy clubs as well as bigger venues. Joyfully colored with the actual modern ways of building a jacking piece of music, small perfectly dropped little percussive sounds, this track will jack and jack. The B side "Counting Lines" seek for something and sure finds it; your sweat. Delightful deeper beat, dubby bassline in full effect, male vocal inviting for the "Quest of the hidden Clubber" enveloping the ever reminding kick drum knocking all along. Simply put, this is Premium modern dance music. Shining small and beautifully laid down background elements give this track all listeners a pure deeper feeling. Seek with us!
