Äser Ep
Graziano Avitabile // Platzhirsch Schallplatten
Format
// 12"
From 3rd may 2004 the cologne-based record distributor Kompakt takes care of the label "Platzhirsch Schallplatten" / "Deer Records", founded in fall 2003 by Tobias Becker. The first release, "Äser EP", was produced by the young talent Graziano Avitabile. His first record, the "Inua Nova EP" on Karma Rouge Records was released in 2001, and shortly ago his second record "Lass Mich Los" was released on the Traum-Sublabel "My Best Friend". This record has been charted by a variety of well-known german techno- and house-djs. While "Lass Mich Los" still sounded more housy, Graziano's new record on Platzhirsch comes more in a deep-techno-style. Track No. 1, "Tel Aviv" is the so-called wolf in sheep's clothing. This track generates a dark atmosphere and screws itself slowly into the listeners brain with it's twisted sounds while conciously avoiding to get hard or fast. Track No. 2, "Gaza" is already a little bit rougher. No hesitation here: up-tempo-beats, fat bass and groaning sounds. The right tool to rock the primetime-floor!
