'Time to Get iLL' started out as event concept that was a continuation of 'Cheap Sunglasses', starting at the Winter Music Conference in 2008. The events were based out of New York but took place all over the country, namely after parties for Festivals, or concept driven one-off events. With all the events that come and go, something that music lovers can hold on to year round was needed to really make the events something special. There is nothing better than a 12 inch to hold on to all year round when you are thinking of music. Thus the evolution of Time to Get iLL from just an event to label was born.....
With the label now in place, Time to Get iLL music will be a platform for like minded artists to release the music that they want to make, not music they think has to be a chart topper. At TTGI, the focus is good music for good DJ's, with a little something extra. The plan is to include some sort of DJ tool on every vinyl release that will be exclusive to the vinyl Whether it be an acapella, lock groove, bonus beats or whatever, expect there to be a little something extra to use in your sets. Coupled with the design you have come to expect from Time to get iLL and Cheap Sunglasses events in the past, you are sure to have a nice package with Time to Get iLL music release after release
