lofi stereo was found to separate the stronger electronic edge releases that first were released on stir15. it became soon part of the "new school of german electronic music" labels aside names like playhouse, perlon, kompakt or ware. the lofi stereo musicstyle ranges from electronic listening anthems (e.g. monne automne) over dub and minimal house to electro and techno. releases and remixes were contributed by names like ricardo villalobos, patrick pulsinger, monne automne (luciano, pier bucci and argenis brito), dadableep, ...

from 2004 to 2006 lofi stereo were co-managed by the anglo-german-couple tanja & and neville attree who now run the gumption imprint with big success. lofi stereo is under exclusive distribution of kompakt cologne.
latest strikes on lofi came from scary grant (italy), paulussen & cali (switzerland), motorcitysoul and ricardo villalobos.
a re-release of c-rock's "stardub" project with a remix by reboot is scheduled for 2009 as well as the label debut of toni rios with a dadableep remix.
