Kompakt welcomes Weval

Hearing Weval's "Half Age EP" - the Dutch duo's stunning 2013 debut release on Atomnation, now finally released on vinyl 12" -, you have to wonder from what vintage geniuses' vault of lost milestones this collection of (inter)stellar space pop has been pulled. No, really, it's that good... and incredibly enough, it comes from two youngsters who only started releasing two years ago - find more intel about Weval's beginnings in their interview with UK hub Ransom Note. The "Half Age EP" one of those records you wish you would've released yourself, which is probably why we smuggled a very special (and exclusive) version of EP highlight "Something (Live)" onto the tracklist of our much-acclaimed "Total 14" compilation. There, Weval's dreamy, yet dynamic style of slow-burning, sweeping house held up more than well with the other high caliber names present on the record - leading us to believe that a full-blown solo release with the massively talented duo would truly be a sight to behold. Well, guess what: we're already on it... Weval's "Easier EP" on Kompakt is scheduled for release on November 24th, holding four expertly crafted tracks that will speak to your hearts and feet through radiant synths, ardent vocals and sublime melodies. In fact, we're so enamored with these two that we've invited them to our booking agency - catch Weval on tour in one of these locations:
