(EN) When "BURGER/INK – LAS VEGAS" was released on the Cologne based EMI- sub-label Harvest in 1996, it was a milestone in innovative Electronic Fusion, as if the two Pop-Techno heroes Wolfgang Voigt and Jörg Burger, influenced by Synth-pop and Guitar Music were the only ones who could have invented it. With their mixture of melancholic desert music reminiscent of Elvis, and a clear adoration for Roxy Music, BURGER/INK proved once more, their ability to transport the spirit of Techno far across the borders of the four-to-the-floor bass drum.
(DE) Die 1996 auf dem Kölner EMI-Sublabel Harvest erschienene CD "BURGER/INK – LAS VEGAS" war schon im Jahr ihres Erscheinens ein Meilenstein innovativer Fusion-Elektronik, wie sie sich nur die, von 80er Zitatpop und Gitarrenmusik geprägten Techno-Popper Jörg Burger und Wolfgang Voigt ausdenken konnten. Mit ihrer Melange aus melancholisch-technoidem Wüstensoundtrack, Elvis Anklängen und ungehemmter Roxy Music Verehrung haben BURGER/INK hier einmal mehr bewiesen, das sie den Geist von Techno weit über die gerade Bassdrum hinaus tragen können.
