The 20 Jahre Kompakt Pop Up Store Berlin is upon us - starting this Saturday (August 31st), we'll combine forces with Ableton for a week-long series of workshops, performances and exclusive shopping at the Ableton HQ (Schönhauser Allee 6-7, Berlin). Things get seriously rollin' with Ableton co-founder Gerhard Behles and Kompakt co-founder Wolfgang Voigt presenting an exclusive public discussion lead by acclaimed journalist Tobias Rapp at 14:30 (local time), followed by a one-hour live act from The Field... don't miss out on this extremely rare opportunity to hear the master of looped bliss in an intimate venue. You'll then be treated to a presentation from our very own Gregor Schwellenbach, who'll talk about the sound of Kompakt from a composer's point of view - the man is well-known to be a highly entertaining public speaker, so you better get ready for some funky fresh insights. Last, but certainly not least, Ableton's Christian Kleine will get on stage, a seasoned musician famed for the collaborative project Hermann & Kleine as well as remixes for the likes of Pole and Bomb The Bass. Check out the full programm for the opening day here, and don't forget to head over to the Volksbühne Salon in the evening, where Gregor Schwellenbach will play a live concert with material from his "Gregor Schwellenbach Spielt 20 Jahre Kompakt" release - doors open at 21:00 (local time), tickets are available here. Let's get this party started!
