Lost and found - the man behind the mystery release

Not too long ago, we decided to end six years of demotape intrigue and release the "Wanted" 12": here was an artist sporting some of the most alienated sounds and structures we ever heard, but we had no clue who the author was. The only things we did know: it was from Japan and it blew our minds. So we decided to release this music to the public (bundled with remixes from Voigt & Voigt and Echo Club), in the hope that we might unearth the actual creator's name. Well, the moment has arrived, and it was a pic posted on twitter which solved the riddle: please welcome Yximalloo aka Naofumi Ishimaru, probably the most mysterious one-man band on the planet... maintaining obscurity even though he has been making and recording music since the 70s and can count artists like Momus or Animal Collective among his fans. Rightly called a modern-day Moondog, Yximalloo has amassed quite the discography and is also known for highly experimental live gigs (watch some examples here and here). Mission accomplished!
