Andrea Di Francesco aka Mufo hails from the village of Vasto, Italy. It's only natural that his years of playing percussion for local bands would bring him to the techno beat. His broad knowledge of music and percussion is appreciative in the music he has released  His single for Kompakt's K2 imprint was aptly reviewed by Resident Advisor, stating it "harks back to the early minimalism of the Profan label". Mufo definitely takes a more minimalistic approach to his music -  shortly timed and intrinsically woven.
